As a child, I found peace among the floral arrangements in the church cemetery behind our home. My best friend and I would play for hours on end under the trees, much to the horror of our parents. Little did I know then that these early encounters would shape my lifelong fascination with flowers and their profound healing powers. From the comforting herbal teas of my family’s traditions to witnessing my mom’s miraculous ability to nurture roses in any environment, I’ve long understood the transformative potential of flowers.
Yet, it wasn’t until a recent period of personal turmoil that I truly grasped their significance for our farm. Amidst the challenges of the past year, I found myself questioning the role of flowers in our business. It was during a candid conversation with my lifelong friend, Rita Shea, that I had a revelation.

And with those words, I realized that our mission was clear: to bring back flowers as medicine. For me, this means more than just growing beautiful blooms. It’s about harnessing the inherent healing properties of flowers to positively impact the lives of others. Whether it’s offering workshops on floral therapy, creating bespoke arrangements for wellness retreats, or simply sharing the joy of flowers with our community, our farm is dedicated to cultivating beauty and healing in equal measure.
